Thomas Cole No. 11 SOLD
An extremely fine and rare month duration tripod clock by this fine individual maker and with the additional feature of a plum line hanging to the centre of a cupola mounted above the frame. The clock also with floral engraved pillars and base set with thermometer and barometer, Cole's pendulum locking system and retailers signature, C.F. Hancock, London. An identical clock is illustrated on the back cover of Thomas Cole and Victorian Clockmaking, by J.B. Hawkings.
