An extremely rare and important George I walnut longcase clock of month duration and equation of time. The dial with subsidiary dials for equation of time to the centre and dials for day of the week, rise/fall, regulation and seconds beating in the arch. The walnut case is of exceptional quality with both hood and main door with gilt brass mouldings, the hood with reeded columns, very finely cut fretwork and three gilt ball finials to the caddy top. There are very few clocks of this complexity found particularly in a case of this high grade.
