John Coleman  No. 202

A fine 18th century George III gilt brass mounted ebony quarter chiming bracket clock. The six pillared movement with verge escapement and chiming the quarters on eight bells and striking the hour. The backplate with floral engraving and signed, John Coleman, London. The white enamel dial within a gilt bezel and a pierced engraved fret below. The fine fretwork continued to the side panels and concave top which is surmounted by a gilt flambeau vase with gilt swags. The case also with gilt reeded pilasters and cast finials, the whole standing on brass bun feet.
