A fine mid 18th century ebony and gilt mounted three train quarter striking bracket clock of important size and proportions by this eminent maker who held the position "clockmaker to the King". The case with exceptionally fine gilt mounts and finials, the triple fusee movement striking the quarters on eight bells and repeating at will. The arched dial with rare rotating ball showing age and moon phases, fine spandrels and signature which is repeated to the finely engraved backplate.
